Unlike a traditional Bed and breakfast where you share the house with the hosts, Golden Caves offers a far more private experience. Each guest room features its own ensuite, and you’ll enjoy access to a spacious shared lounge and sunny patio. With just two guest rooms in total, all facilities are shared with a maximum of one other guest, ensuring space, comfort, and a true sense of calm — while your hosts are always nearby and happy to assist whenever needed. Guests also have full access to our all-inclusive facilities, including a sauna, spa pool, and swim spa.
Reconnect with nature as you watch native birdlife, explore our aviary, or join a farm tour to meet our friendly alpacas and other animals. At Golden Caves, we value authenticity, exclusivity, and thoughtful service. Your hosts, Marianne and Rene, are dedicated to making you feel at home while sharing the very best of Golden Bay.
Each morning, a farm-style, freshly cooked breakfast is served in the guest lounge.
In the evening, guests may choose to enjoy Neapolitan-style pizza, lovingly made entirely from scratch — from hand-prepared dough to fresh, farm-made mozzarella — and baked in our dedicated pizza oven. Prepared on site by your hosts, these pizzas are widely regarded as world-renowned… at least in Golden Bay. A true labour of love, ready when you are, making it perfect for arrival night or any relaxed evening during your stay, with no need to rush your travels.
